Atti, the pug, was discovered in a pet store in Dothan, Alabama. She and her sister both came from a breeder in Troy, Alabama and were covered in feces and obviously sick. Her rescue angel, Christine Irwin, purchased both puppies to get them the veterinary attention they so desperately needed. At the vet, it was discovered that they both had parasites throughout their bodies and Parvo. Little Atti succumbed to the Parvo virus after battling hard for several days.
No caring person would intentionally support animal cruelty. However, many consumers that purchase a dog online, at a pet store, through classifieds, or even from someone they believe to be a "reputable" breeder are unknowingly supporting and perpetuating a horrible cycle of animal cruelty.
